Abstract: Smart city construction is driving cross-regional data integration, the creation of data exchange and sharing systems, and cross-industry collaboration. "Physical system integration + data fusion integration" will become a new model in the field of smart cities.

Smart city construction, based on information sharing, uses system integration solutions to promote urban management and development.

The concept of "city construction" was first introduced in China in January 2012 with the issuance of the "Notice of the State Council on Printing and Distributing the Industrial Transformation and Upgrading Plan (2011-2015)." In March 2014, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the "National New Urbanization Plan (2014-2020)," which proposed the use of new generation information technologies such as big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things to promote the development of smart cities. This was the first time that the construction of smart cities was included in the national strategic plan, and the goal was to build a number of distinctive smart cities by 2020.

With the rapid development of the information age and the increasing maturity of big data technology and various information and communication technologies, we are experiencing new changes in smart city construction. Smart city construction has brought about explosive growth in data, with data information like growing vines, touching various fields of urban construction such as transportation, medical care, and education. Data fusion and resource sharing are the trend. Classifying, analyzing, integrating, and applying data to urban planning and construction to make them "smart" is the basic idea of smart city construction.

Smart city construction cannot do without the construction of urban hardware facilities, but as smart city construction deepens, problems such as "heavy hardware and light software," relatively less application of big data, insufficient sharing of information resources, and difficulties in integrating and sharing cross-industry big data are exposed, which are constraining the development of smart city construction.

Smart cities are the next stage in the urbanization process, and the development of information and communication technology will be crucial. As an important information technology means for building smart cities, a mature data fusion system is a new height of urban informationization and a vision for modern urban development.

 "Physical system integration + data fusion integration" is currently the optimal new model. Combining with the overall government plan, strengthening the construction of physical systems, such as dedicated network base stations, LED screens, touch screens, and other hardware equipment, and at the same time, coordinating the development of data communication technology, strengthening the core position of data information in smart city construction, establishing a mechanism for the co-construction and sharing of smart city big data, will effectively leverage the value of system integration in smart cities.
